GLOSSARY
Basic Accepted Gambling Terms:
A. "SINGLE: A wager on a single event.
B. "MULTIPLE": This is a bet on the outcome of several different events. When a bet is placed on the outcome of two or more events (for example, two different soccer matches), these may be accumulated under the "Multiple" mode. To win a multiple bet, you must not have failed predictions (losses) on any of the outcomes included in the multiple bet. The loss of one of the results of a Multiple bet means the loss of the entire bet. Winnings on Multi bets are equal to the product of the amount of the bet by the coefficients of the results played included in the multiple (if one of the bets included in the Multiple produces a return, then the coefficient is equal to 1)
C. "SYSTEM": Set of Multiple and Single bets within a certain number of events, where it is enough to hit one of the predictions to win, i.e. it is not necessary to hit all the predictions. Each system combination is calculated as a separate multiple bet. To win in the "System" it is enough that the indicated number of predictions of the total are correct (this is contained in the name itself, e.g. in the "3 out of 4" system it is necessary that 3 out of 4 predictions are correct, for "5 out of 7" it is necessary to correctly predict the outcome of five events within 7 options, etc.). It should be noted that since only a part of the total bet amount is allocated to each of the multiple system bets (proportional to the number of options), the winnings of these "System" bets will always be lower than the winnings of a "multiple" bet. In some cases, when not all outcomes are predicted, the amount won may be less than the amount wagered, but unlike multiple games, a portion of the amount will be offset due to correctly predicted outcomes.
D. "CHAIN": This type of wager works like a chain of links, where the first link (selection) must be correct to pass to the next one. The order of the links is determined chronologically by the time of the events, from closest to farthest. The winnings derived from each of the selections are stored in a pot that will be used to bet on the next selections in case of failure. If the pot reaches zero, the chain is broken and is considered lost.
Example: we will bet $10,000 in chain for the following results:
- First selection odds 4.0 Wins
- Second selection odds 2.0 LOSE
- Third selection odds 3.0 WIN
- Fourth selection odds 1.5 LOSE
On the first selection we bet $10,000 and win $40,000 (with $40,000 left in the pot).
On the second selection we bet $10,000 and lose (with $30,000 left in the pot).
On the third selection we bet $10,000 and win $30,000 (with $50,000 left in the pot).
On the third selection we bet $10,000 and lose ($40,000 left in the pot).
The result of this chain bet will be $40,000.
E. "HANDICAP" or "HANDICAP": Handicap is a handicap or unfavorable circumstance. The bookmaker establishes a disadvantage to the favorite team or player to even the odds of the outcome, expressed in goals, points, sets, etc. Example: A and B compete and B is the favorite.
- Team A is the loser
- Team B is the favorite by 3 goals.
The result of the Handicap event is determined in this way: the Handicap awarded to the participant is added to the corresponding result shown by the participant in the competition. If the results thus obtained favor the chosen participant, he/she is considered the winner and bets on his/her victory are subject to win with Handicap. Handicaps are made with the payout ratio indicated in the description of the bets. If the result is in favor of the opponent, bets are lost. If the outcome subject to the Handicap is a draw, then the payout ratio under such outcome will be equal to 1 (refund of the bet).
For example:
Team 1 / Team 2 / Handicap 1 / Coef. 1 / Handicap 2 / Coef.2.
InterCagliari -1.5 2.25 +1.5 1.9
1) Suppose you want to bet on Cagliari to win subject to Handicap. The handicap bet on Cagliari (Handicap 2) is equal to "+1.5". To win with the "Handicap" bet "+1.5" it is necessary that Cagliari wins by more than 1 goal, as a Handicap will be added.
+1.5 will be added to the Cagliari goals. Let's explore all the options.
A Double Handicap bet (Asian Handicap) is offered. Bet on the win or on the total taking into account the handicap, which is the multiple of 0.25 (but not of 0.5). Such bets are calculated as 2 average sum bets: with the same odd multiple and "Common handicap" and "Common totals" of 0.5 close to the common value. In case the Asian handicap is included in the parlay or the system, it is calculated with the odds that would be in the case of a single bet. In case two community bets win, the odd "O" of the bet is taken into account in the calculations. If one community bet wins and the other is subject to refund, the odds ("O" +1) / 2 are taken during the calculation. If both community bets lose, the entire bet is considered lost.
Participant Double handicap bet (Asian handicap) Probability
Real -0.25 (0, -0.5) 2.0
Barcelona +0,25 (0, +0,5) 1,8
In case a bet of 200 euros is placed on "Real" and "Real" wins: two common bets with half the amount won and the profit is equal to 100 * 2.0 + 100 * 2.0 = 400 euros. The match ended in a draw: one common bet lost half the amount and the other won with an odd "1" and the profit is equal to 100 * 0.0 + 100 * 1.0 = €100. "Real" lost: two common bets with half the amount lost and the win is equal to 100 * 0.0 + 100 * 0.0 = euro 0. In case of betting €200 on "Barcelona" and "Barcelona" won: two common bets with half the amount won and the win is equal to 100 * 1.8 + 100 * 1.8 = €360 The match ended in a draw: one common bet with half the amount lost and the other won with the odds "1 ′ ′ and the win is equal to 100 * 1.8 + 100 * 1.0 = €280". "Barcelona" lost: two common bets with half the amount lost and the win is equal to 100 * 0.0 + 100 * 0.0 = 0 euro.
F. "TOTAL": The number of goals, pucks, points or games scored (shot, won or played) by an event participant(s).
For example:
Suppose the total of the soccer match is set (the number of goals scored) equal to "4", and a wager on the total is offered on two outcomes: more or less than the given total.
If the match is scored with a total of less than 4 goals (0-0, 1-0, 0-1, 1-1, etc.), bets of less than "4" win.
If the match is scored with a total of more than 4 goals (4-1, 4-2, 3-2, etc.), bets under "4" lose and bets over "4" win.
If the match is scored with a total of exactly 4 goals (3-1, 4-0, 2-2, 1-3, 0-4), all bets over "4" and under "4" will be refunded.
